Arrive at Guwahati airport, after a brief welcome you will proceed to Manas National Park.
MANAS NATIONAL PARK:
The National Park was designated as a Tiger Reserve in 1973.Situated in the foothills of Bhutanese Himalaya, it famous for its majestic Tiger and Golden Leaf Monkey discovered only a few decades ago. It is a paradise for bird lovers, birds which can be seen here are the Giant Hornbills, Pheasants, Jungle Fowl, Scarlet Minivet, Partridge, Florican and variety of water birds.
Evening at leisure. Night halt at Manas.
Early morning explore the pristine beauty and wilderness of the jungle on the back of an elephant (for one hour) in the Bansbari range of the park. Afternoon go for a jeep safari in the most beautiful point of Manas National Park – Mathanguri and you could also have an experience of night safari while returning back to your lodge. Your last night at Manas.
After breakfast at Manas you will drive to Nameri National Park.
Nameri National Park:
Covering an area of 200sq.kms, it is situated in the District of Sonitpur; the Nameri is the third National Park of Assam. It is a Tiger Reserve and also a birders paradise with more than 376 species of birds recorded so far. The inaccessibility and continuity with the neibouring forest areas have helped the wildlife of Nameri to flourish. There is a good prey base in the form of Sambar, Barking deer, Hog Deer, Wild Boar and Gaur. About 3000 domestic cattle also form part of this prey base for Tiger and Leopards.
Evening at leisure beside the camp fire and listening to the jungle. Overnight at Eco- Camp (Nameri)
Today early morning at about 05.30 a.m, we set to explore the park on foot (3.2kms), after the trek back to the camp. After having breakfast go for an exclusive rafting (mild rapids) trip on Jia – Bhoreli River, flowing along the National Park, for water birds. Return back to the camp. Overnight stay at camp.
After breakfast at Nameri, drive to Kaziranga National Park.
Kaziranga National Park:
In the heart of Assam, covering an area of 430 sq-kms, is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds. In 1985, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its unique natural environment.
Evening free at leisure. Overnight at Kaziranga National Park.
After an early wake up, you will be taken to the riding point in the Central Range (Kohoro) for an Elephant Ride. After the ride return back to the lodge, having breakfast at 7 a.m drive to the Central Rang (Kohora) of the park for a jeep safari. After lunch at 2.15 there will be another Jeep safari in the Western Range (Baguri) of the park. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Kaziranga.
After an early breakfast go for a Jeep safari in the Eastern Range (Agaratuli) of the park, Situated towards the eastern part of the park. The area is excellent for birding. Includes nesting of the globally threatened Pallas's Fish Eagle and a colony of Spot-billed Pelicans. Migrant waterfowl may be observed at Sohola Beel. Various woodland birds can be seen along the drive through very scenic Dillenia Swamp Forest. Elephants may be encountered, as well Water Buffalo and Swamp Deer. Lunch at lodge, then drive to the Central Range for another Jeep Safari. Overnight at Kaziranga.
After breakfast drive to Guwahati. In Guwahati go for an excursion tour to Deepor Beel. It's a natural lake, located in the western part of Guwahati. Deepor Lake is a haven for bird watcher's and nature lovers, and is said to be the home of some rare species of birds like Ferruginous Pochard and Grey-headed lapwing. An uncommon winter visitor, the solitary snipe and the extremely rare and endangered Goliath Heron have been reported from here. In the evening return to Guwahati. Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast drive to Guwahati airport at airport.
